Saint Agnes is Pleased to Report the Success from Growing TAVR Program

Saint Agnes has celebrated a rich history of cardiac achievements, starting with the Valley’s first cardiac catheterization procedure in 1972, followed by the start of our open heart surgery program in 1976. These momentous events marked the beginning of the region’s leading program for cardiovascular care, and today, we’re still leading the way in providing expert care with the most advanced technology.

In April 2014, Saint Agnes’ team of cardiothoracic surgeons and interventional cardiologists performed the Valley’s first Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure and, since then, have performed more than any other area hospital. This month also brought another milestone as being the first in the Valley to offer Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) interventions.
