Jaswant S. Basraon, D.O., M.P.H., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Jaswant (Jas) Basraon has fifteen years of experience in clinical medicine. His training includes Internal Medicine and specialty training in Cardiovascular Disease and further sub-specialization training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Dr. Basraon grew up in Caruthers, California, and after graduating from Caruthers High School, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis. After graduating, he obtained his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. He subsequently completed his Internal Medicine resident at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After completing his internal medicine residency, Dr. Basraon completed his fellowship training at the combined Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology program between the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and the prestigious Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center at the Methodist Hospital Houston. After completion, Dr. Basraon enrolled in graduate school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and obtained his Master’s degree in Public Health. After graduating, he furthered his clinical training by completing his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Aurora Health Care system in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After that, he returned to the Central Valley, his home, and joined The Heart Group in 2015. Dr. Basraon current affiliations include Saint Agnes Medical Center, Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital, Clovis Community Medical Center, and Community Regional Medical Center. Dr. Basraon resides in Clovis, CA, with his wife and enjoys life with his son and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys reading, exercise, and travel.
