Usman Javed, M.D., and The Heart Group, in collaboration with the Heart Team at Saint Agnes Health, have successfully performed the first three transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) procedures in the Central Valley. This minimally invasive procedure delivers a new heart valve via a catheter, avoiding open-heart surgery and offering patients a faster recovery time.
This accomplishment further establishes The Heart Group as the Central Valley’s leader in pioneering structural heart procedures. From the region’s first transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), MitraClip and TriClip procedures (MTEER & TTEER), and transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), to now the first TTVR procedures, we remain committed to bringing groundbreaking cardiac treatments and innovative care to our community.
